Trivia, the Kenyan way
Karibu Play is a homegrown trivia and brain-games app built in Nairobi — a celebration of who we are, from our history and counties to our music and mathematics.
Why we built it
Trivia nights are everywhere — but the questions rarely feel like home. We wanted a game where the answer is Madaraka Day, the county is Turkana, and the band that made “Jambo Bwana” famous is on the tip of your tongue.
So we built one. Every question in Karibu Play is researched and written here at home, by people who grew up with these stories. It's brain training that actually sounds like Kenya — fun enough for a matatu ride, sharp enough for a family showdown.
Local first
Every question is researched and written in Kenya — no recycled foreign quiz packs.

Built for the way Kenyans play together
Rooted in Kenya
From the first question to the last, the whole game is about this country we love:
- Kenya@50 party words — Madaraka to matatu culture, Gengetone to sukuma wiki, all home-grown.
- Impostor & bluffing — one phone, hidden roles and secret Kenyan words to sniff out the fakes.
- Politics, culture & music — from Benga to Bunge, the nyatiti to Sauti Sol.
- Math Haraka — quick mental maths in shillings, change and percentages you'd use at the duka.
